This January 26, 2010, India will celebrate its 60th year as a Republic. On this day, India, under the leadership of Nehru, Azad, and Ambedkar, unveiled its Constitution that reflects the hopes and aspirations of all Indians irrespective of economical status, religioun or caste. In fact the Constitution of India provides equal rights and equal access to opportunities as well as freedom to all its citizens.

On this day, Indian Muslim Council-USA (IMC-USA), a Washington based advocacy group working towards empowering people for achieving peace, pluralism and social justice rejoices in the increasing opportunities for a better life that the economic growth of India provides to all its citizens. IMC-USA recommits itself to work for the betterment and advancement of India. However, IMC-USA cautions all that sustainable growth, prosperity and global leadership of a nation is only possible when all of its citizens enjoy equal rights and opportunities to contribute to their country. Leaving behind any segment of the population is not an option and IMC-USA will continue to fulfill its patriotic duty to be vigilant and do its part to keep Indian society peaceful, pluralistic and just.

IMC-USA is the largest Indian American Muslim Advocacy group in the United States.

Indian Muslim Council – USA (IMC-USA: http://www.imc-usa.org/), an advocacy group working toward safeguarding India’s pluralist and tolerant ethos, extends its best wishes to all Indians on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of India’s independence. IMC-USA calls on all Indians to renew their commitment to make India a nation that is a beacon of freedom and prosperity for all.

August 15th, 2009 also marks the seventh anniversary of the Indian Muslim Council – USA. In the last seven years, IMC-USA has worked with various Indian organizations of different persuasions to advance the cause of social justice and communal harmony.

On this occasion, Indian Muslim Council renews its pledge to prevent hate-filled ideologies from threatening the secular fabric of the nation and to promote pluralism, tolerance and respect for human dignity. IMC-USA has scheduled a series of events to celebrate and will also participate in the Independence Day festivities across the United States.

Indian Muslim Council-USA is the largest advocacy organization of Indian Muslims in the United States with 10 chapters across the nation.

Indian Muslim Council – USA (IMC-USA), an advocacy group working toward safeguarding India’s pluralist and tolerant ethos, extends its best wishes to all Indians on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of India’s Independence and calls on all Indians to remember the message of Mahatma Gandhi whose non-violent struggle was key to India’s independence. August 15th, 2008 also marks the sixth anniversary of the Indian Muslim Council – USA, which was established on this day in 2002. In the last six years, IMC-USA has worked with various Indian organizations of different persuasions to advance the cause of social justice and communal harmony.

Indian Muslim Council-USA congratulates all Indians and people of Indian descent as well as those who love India on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of India’s independence.

Dr. Shaik Ubaid, congratulated the members and supporters of IMC-USA on the fourth anniversary of the organization’s launch and urged them to remain steadfast in their mission. IMC-USA was launched on August 15, 2002 as an advocacy organization to protect and promote pluralism.

IMC-USA Congratulates Indians on Independence Day

Indian Muslim Council-USA congratulates all Indians and people of Indian descent as well as those who love India on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of India’s independence.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Shaik Ubaid, congratulated the members and supporters of IMC-USA on the third anniversary of the organization’s launch. IMC-USA was launched on August the 15th of 2002.

Dr. Ubaid said that the great nation of India which was once the world’s envy because of its rich diversity and prosperity is a work in progress. He invited all Indians to take a solemn pledge to work to make India a great country where poverty, social injustice, religious intolerence and corruption are no longer allowed to prevent the nation from achieving its glorious and rightful place in the world.
