DESCRIPTION:IAMC Members Register for National Muslim Advocacy\nDays – June 12-13\nIAMC is joining the US Council on Muslim Organizations (USCMO), a national umbrella organization for Muslim advocacy institutions in the US for the 8th annual National Muslim Congressional Advocacy Days ( https://uscmo.org/8th-annual-national-muslim-advocacy-day/ ) on Monday, June 12th, and Tuesday, June 13th at the nation’s capital in Washington, D.C.\nWHAT: 8th annual National Muslim Congressional Advocacy Week ( https://uscmo.org/8th-annual-national-muslim-advocacy-day/ )\nWHEN: Monday & Tuesday June 12th-13th\nWHERE: U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.\nAll representatives for national, state, and local Muslim organizations and communities are encouraged to register for this two-day advocacy event. Muslim delegates and activists will meet with congressional offices in Washington D.C. to discuss the most pressing issues impacting American Muslims in today’s political climate. This is an opportunity to educate your Congressional officials about the threat of Hindutva in the U.S. and India.\nWhat Happens After I Register: Once you register for USMCO Advocacy Week the USCMO team will setup a meeting between you and your Congressional Office. You’ll be given further details via email. You’ll be connected to our IAMC national staff who will be on the ground in D.C.\nWhat About My Travel & Accomodations: You will need to arrange your own travel and lodging in D.C. If you live near D.C. consider driving to the Capitol for the Advocacy Days. If you live further away you’ll need to arrange a flight and hotel while you’re staying in D.C. We recommend you fly into Ronald Regan International Airport.\nWhat Time Should I Arrive at the Capitol: 9:00 AM State Delegations will meet-up with their team captain(s) and a volunteer congressional office staff escort at the entrance of one of the U.S. House Congressional office buildings: Cannon, Longworth, or Rayburn. This predetermined meeting location will be noted on each state delegation’s voter voice app meeting schedule. Delegations will be credentialed and escorted into the CVC. PLEASE BRING A VALID PHOTO I.D. MAKE SURE TO ARRIVE ON TIME.\nDeadline to Register: Sunday, June 4th\n \n\n
