A four-year-old Dalit girl was raped by a police officer, Bhupendra Singh, who was on election duty in Lalsot area, Rajasthan.
Earlier this year, another Dalit minor was gang-raped by three men linked to the Hindu paramilitary group Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur district.
BJP lawmaker uses minors to deliver anti-Muslim hate speech in election rallies
Hindu extremist BJP lawmaker Kirodi Lal Meena used minors to deliver anti-Muslim speeches to polarize voters in poll-bound Rajasthan. At an election rally, a Hindu child was brought up to the state to call for violence against Muslim opposition leader Danish Abrar.
The stunt goes against India’s regulatory body for elections, which has banned the use of minors in election campaigns.

Hindu supremacist icon and rightwing news personality Suresh Chavhanke called on Hindu men to marry Muslim women and convert them to Hinduism, a bigoted and sexist demand that calls on Hindus to act on the conspiracy theory of “love jihad.” Chavhanke has made similar threats in the past, calling on Hindu men to convert 4 million Muslim women to Hinduism.
Chavhanke was speaking at an event in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Uttar Pradesh state’s Kanpur, where he also used dehumanizing language against Muslims and gave open calls to violence.
BJP lawmakers deliver anti-Muslim hate speeches during election rallies
BJP leaders have carried on their long-running tactic of using hate speech in election campaigns in order to polarize Hindus against Muslims and garner votes.
At an election rally in Rajasthan, held in support of BJP lawmaker Surendra Singh Rathore, a Hindu extremist monk used hateful rhetoric against Muslims and called on Hindu youths to pick up swords. In Rajgadh, Madhya Pradesh, BJP leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma delivered a communal speech filled with anti-Muslim dog whistling during an election rally. In Neemkathana, Rajasthan, BJP lawmaker Mahant Balaknath Yogi delivered anti-Muslim communal speeches to urge Hindus to vote for the BJP.
