Hindu mob attacks Kashmiri stall owner at fair in Haryana
A Kashmiri Muslim stall owner was attacked by a Hindu extremist mob during a fair in Haryana’s Kurukshetra, who brutally beat the victim and vandalized his stall.
These attackers were leading an anti-Muslim procession, and were calling for economic boycott of Muslim businessmen by spreading false claims that Muslims would “occupy Hindu homes” and harass Hindu women.
Hindu extremists brutally assault cattle trader in Jammu
In Jammu & Kashmir, a cattle trader was brutally assaulted by Hindu extremist cow vigilantes over suspicion of transporting cows for slaughter. In another incident in Jammu, Hindu extremists joined police in hijacking a cattle truck and confiscating the cattle. The extremists then vandalized the vehicle.
Hindu militant mobs regularly attack Muslims over baseless accusations of committing crimes. These mobs, also known as cow vigilantes, assault and often lynch Muslims accused of transporting cattle or consuming beef.
Muslim man arrested after Hindu extremists allege relationship with Hindu woman
In BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, a Muslim man was arrested after Hindu extremist groups accused him of being in a relationship with a Hindu woman. Despite being found alone, he was taken into custody.
Hindu militants are known for violently policing interfaith relationships and interactions between Muslim men and Hindu women, resulting in Muslim men being publicly attacked, arbitrarily arrested, and sometimes lynched.
Hindu extremists threaten violence against Christian pastors at prayer meeting
In BJP-ruled Gujarat’s Tapi, Hindu extremists disrupted a Christian prayer meeting. The extremists harassed and threatened violence against pastors before chasing them away.
In a similar incident in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, Hindu militants from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal disrupted a prayer meeting, alleging that the worshippers were forcibly converting Hindus to Christianity.
