Hindu supremacists promote anti-Muslim conspiracies to Hindu children
At a school in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Uttar Pradesh, Hindu religious preacher Swami Sachchidanand demonized Muslims and Christians and called for them to be converted to Hinduism to “save Hindus”.
In Nagda, Madhya Pradesh, Hindu supremacists organized a training camp to teach Hindu children to fight using canes. Organizers claimed they were training the children to fight “love jihad,” an anti-Muslim conspiracy that claims Muslim men have an agenda to seduce and convert Hindu women.
BJP lawmaker demands Muslims convert to Hinduism or move to Pakistan
At an event in Vijayapura, Karnataka, BJP lawmaker Basangouda Patil Yatnal gave a speech demanding that Muslims either convert to Hinduism or move to Pakistan. He also threatened to build temples on the mosque sites.
Another hate speech event was organized by the extremist group Hindu Jagran Manch in Bhojpur, Bihar, where Hindu supremacist leaders promoted conspiracy theories to stoke anti-Muslim hatred.
Police open fire at alleged “cattle smuggler,” victim sustains bullet wound
In BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharthnagar, police fired gunshots at an alleged “cattle smuggler,” who sustained a bullet injury in his leg.
The incident is the latest in an ongoing trend of violent attacks against predominantly Muslim cattle traders by law enforcement. Over the last few months, multiple such injuries have occurred due to police firing.
