12-year-old Muslim girl and family beaten, subjected to Islamophobic slurs

In Mumbai, Maharashtra, a 12-year-old Muslim girl, Mariam Fatima, was assaulted and sexually harassed by a group of Hindu extremist men and one woman. Mariam reported that the woman’s husband touched her inappropriately and leveled death threats. 

Mariam’s family was also beaten and subjected to Islamophobic slurs, including one attacker shouting, “You Muslims are bad; you should be fed pig meat.” 

Journalists, non-BJP leaders get warning from Apple on state-sponsored attack on phone

Several opposition leaders and journalists critical of the ruling far-right Bharatiya Janata Party have said that they have received a notification from Apple, saying that they are being targeted by state-sponsored attackers who are trying to remotely compromise the data on their iPhones.

The email read, “These attackers are likely targeting you individually because of who you are or what you do. If your device is compromised by a state-sponsored attacker, they may be able to remotely access your sensitive data, communications, or even the camera and microphone.”

Hindu extremist BJP leader calls for a genocide of Indian Muslims

In Uttar Pradesh,  Hindu extremist BJP leader Amit Chaudhary claimed that “Modi orchestrated Godhra massacre for sake of Hindus,” referring to a bloody anti-Muslim massacre that took place in Gujurat in 2002, when ruling Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of the state. 

He further threatened genocidal violence against Muslims, claiming that Hindu extremists would “kill 10 jihadis for every Hindu.”

Anti-Muslim hate speeches in Bihar, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh

In Patna, Bihar, Hindu supremacist monk Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati delivered hate speech, demonizing and justifying the use of violence against Indian Muslims while spreading disinformation about the Israeli-Palestine conflict.

In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, far-right Hindu leader Harishankar Jain, delivered hate speech targeting Muslim places of worship. In New Delhi, Hindu supremacist leader Ravendra Diwedi called for violence against Muslims and the demolition of mosques.
