18-year-old Muslim lynched to death with iron rods in Rajasthan

Mohammad Iqbal, an 18-year-old Muslim resident of Rajasthan’s Jaipur was lynched by a mob of around 40–50 violent Hindu extremists. According to Iqbal’s family, the mob stopped him while he was returning home with his younger brother. After demanding to know his name, the mob violently assaulted him with iron rods and lynched him. 

Muslim laborer attacked with knives after refusing to say “Jai Sri Ram”

Muhammad Shehroz, a Muslim laborer in far-right Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, was attacked with knives and sticks by a Hindu extremist mob after he refused to chant the Hindu supremacist warcry “Jai Sri Ram.” Shehroz sustained multiple serious injuries and has been hospitalized.

BJP lawmaker threatens Muslim women in hate speech

A BJP lawmaker and serial hatemonger, T. Raja Singh, threatened Muslim women with implied sexual violence during a hate speech event in Rajasthan. 

“If they (Muslims) take one Hindu girl, we’ll take 10 of theirs,” Singh told a crowd of Hindu extremists. 

Singh also made open calls for violence against minorities while using anti-Muslim slurs and urged Hindus to militarize. 

Mosques, Muslim properties targeted in religious processions in Bihar, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh

In Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, a Hindu religious procession of around 2,000 people paraded through Muslim-majority areas while arsoning, looting, and vandalizing Muslim-owned homes and businesses. Eight residents have sustained injuries. 

In Gopalganj, Bihar, a Hindu religious procession attacked and threw stones at a mosque, while police officials also chanted “Jai Sri Ram” near the mosque. In Narmada, Gujarat, Hindu extremists pelted stones at Muslim-owned properties amid police presence during a religious procession organized by Hindu militant group Bajrang Dal.

Hindu supremacist leader conducts conversion ceremony of 2 Muslim families

In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a far-right Hindu leader Pinky Chaudhry conducted a religious conversion ceremony for two Muslim families. Last week, in Ghaziabad, Chaudhry called for a social boycott of Muslims.
