BJP lawmaker says he wants to “shoot down” members of Muslim opposition party
T. Raja Singh, an elected official from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with an extensive history of violent anti-minority hate speech, made a hate speech during which he claimed that he wanted to “chase away” members of a Muslim opposition party and “shoot them.”
The cyber crime unit of Bengaluru police in Karnataka state have registered a police report against Singh for his hate speech.
Hindu militants booked for hoisting saffron flags on shops in Karnataka
In Karnataka state, a local leader of the Hindu militant group Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Sharan Pumpwell, and his supporters were booked for putting saffron flags on shops surrounding a Hindu temple. Pumpwell also issued a press statement calling on Hindus to exclusively buy from other Hindus, encouraging an anti-minority boycott.
Hindu militants arrange rally for Israel amid bombardment of Gaza
As the death toll of Gazans skyrockets amid Israel’s continued onslaught against the Palestinian people, members of the violent Hindu militant groups Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal held a religious rally in support of Israel.
The rally, held in New Delhi, included placards with slogans saying “United we stand against terrorists,” referring to Palestinians.
