Cow vigilantes associated with the BJP assault Muslim cattle trader in Telangana

Hindu extremist cow vigilantes associated with the ruling far-right Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), attacked a Muslim cattle trader and his driver in Telangana’s Hyderabad. The cattle trader, Amir Qureshi, and his driver were assaulted by the mob when they were moving six buffaloes that they had purchased. The vigilantes reportedly pulled Qureshi and the driver out of the vehicle and assaulted them, accusing them of illegal cow slaughter without any substantial evidence.

Hindu militant mobs regularly attack Muslims over baseless accusations of committing crimes. These mobs, also known as cow vigilantes, assault and often lynch Muslims accused of transporting cattle or consuming beef.
