Hindu teacher calls Muslim students “slaves,” tells them to go to Pakistan
A Hindu supremacist teacher in Karnataka’s Shivamogga, Manjula Devi, made disturbingly hateful remarks against two Muslim students in her fifth grade classroom.
“This is not your country; this is the country of Hindus. You should go to Pakistan. You are our slaves forever,” she told the students.
This incident is the latest in a series of reports of teachers directing hateful anti-Muslim comments towards students during class.
Assam police threaten to kill Muslim businessman in staged encounter
Police in Hindu supremacist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Assam state wrongfully detained a Muslim businessman, Rabiul Islam, beat him for hours while in custody, and forced him to pay around 25 million rupees ($300,000 USD). Islam reported that the cops threatened to kill him in a staged encounter and justify his death by framing him for terrorism.

Hindu extremist leaders of the Hindu militant group Bajrang Dal distributed sharp-edged tridents to over 1000 Hindu men in Rajasthan’s Pali district. The growing weaponization of violent Hindu supremacists has become an increasingly dangerous threat to Muslims as violent anti-Muslim hate speech continues to be propagated throughout India.
Anti-Muslim hate speeches delivered in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka
Hate speeches continue to be made throughout India. In BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh state’s Kanpur, a Hindu extremist group leader, Ramji Tiwari, made hateful comments about Muslim places of worship. In Jalalabad, leaders of the same Hindu extremist group called on Hindus to illegally turn the Gyanvapi mosque into a Hindu temple.
In Madhya Pradesh, a leader of the Hindu militant group Bajrang Dal organized a training camp, including for Hindu women, where he delivered hate speech by peddling the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad.” In Karnataka, serial hatemonger Pramod Muthalik delivered hate speech against Muslims and made threats against interfaith marriages.
