Man urinates on Dalit tribal youth’s face, video of incident goes viral

Rightwing news reporter spreads fake anti-Muslim news on Twitter
Fact-checkers have debunked a widely-viewed tweet accusing Muslims of vandalism. The tweet was posted by a reporter working for the rightwing news channel Sudarshan News, which commonly spreads anti-Muslim hate speech and propaganda.
The reporter, Sagar Kumar, had claimed that Muslim youth had disrupted a Hindu pilgrimage. However, a fact-checking site co-founded by Muslim journalist Mohammed Zubair has debunked the tweet by sharing a police statement on the incident.
BJP leader blames rising vegetable prices on Muslim sellers
A leader from the Hindu supremacist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Assam state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, made a hate speech blaming Muslims for rising vegetable prices.
“Miyan (Bengali origin Muslim) is a businessman who is selling vegetables at a higher price,” Sarma said when asked by reporters about skyrocketing prices. “ If Assamese traders were selling vegetables today, they would never have charged more from their Assamese people.”
European Union Parliament calls on India to protect religious minorities
As Hindu supremacist Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits France, the European Union Parliament has adopted a resolution on human rights violations in India, and has called on Indian authorities to “protect all religious minorities” in the face of rising violence.
In a press statement, the body said, “Parliament strongly urges the Indian authorities to put in place all necessary measures to promptly halt the ethnic and religious violence and to protect all religious minorities.”
