Muslim leader’s house demolished after protests against Hindu monk’s hate speech

In Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur, police officials demolished the home of a Muslim leader, Shehzad Ali. The demolition occurred following allegations of stone-pelting during protests in front of a police station against Hindu extremist monk Ramgiri Maharaj’s hateful remarks about Prophet Muhammad.

Hindu residents threaten mass exodus after Muslim family buys house

Hindus in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly’s threatened a mass exodus from a neighborhood after a Muslim family purchased a house in their locality. The extremists demanded an immediate annulment of the property’s registration. 

One of them, Arvind Srivastava, baselessly claimed that the Muslim family hailed from Assam and was involved in the illegal possession of a local mosque. He also went on to speculate that they would engage in “love jihad”, an anti-Muslim conspiracy theory. 

Over the past year, Hindu extremist leaders have demanded boycotts against Muslims and urged Hindus not to rent homes and shops to the minority group. 

Hindu youth injures minor Muslim girl for rejecting his advances

In Karnataka’s Puttur, a minor Muslim girl was attacked by a radicalized Hindu youth, who allegedly stabbed her following her rejection of his advances.

According to the complaint filed, the perpetrator was known to the victim and had a history of conflicts with the law. He followed her and attempted to express his feelings for her. When she refused, the enraged perpetrator reportedly used a sharp object to stab her hand before fleeing the scene.

In Pune, Maharashtra, far-right Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmaker Nitesh Rane delivered a dangerous speech calling for anti-Muslim violence. 

“We will kill you one by one,” he said. He also called for the Hindu takeover of a Muslim shrine in Pune. 

In Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, Hindu supremacist leader Mukesh Kumar urged Hindus to keep an eye out for Muslims in their neighborhoods and arm themselves with sharp tridents.

In Amravati, Maharashtra, BJP lawmaker Anil Sukhdevrao Bonde delivered a dehumanizing speech against Muslims and promoted the anti-Muslim conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad.”
