Muslim man beaten to death over alleged cigarette theft in Bihar

In Bihar’s Samastipur, a Muslim man, Sabrati Nadaf, was beaten to death after his son was accused by a group of Hindu residents of stealing a cigarette.

According to the complaint, Nadaf was attacked with a knife. When his family members tried to intervene to protect him, they were also attacked. The police have yet to take any action against the attackers.

Muslim student brutally assaulted during Hindu celebrations at school

A 12-year-old Muslim student was violently assaulted during dance celebrations of a Hindu festival at a school in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow.

Even earlier, the victim had experienced harassment from a group of radicalized Hindu classmates, who targeted him due to his Muslim identity. During the recent celebrations, the same students subjected him to severe physical abuse. However, the school administration pressured the victim and his family to remain silent, threatening expulsion if they spoke out about the incident.

Police who shot and injured two Muslim men in Uttar Pradesh accused of foul play

Two Muslim men were shot in the leg by police while allegedly attempting to flee arrest following anti-Muslim violence in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich. Five people have been arrested, including the two injured.

Several opposition leaders and local residents have accused the police of staging a fake encounter. In Bahraich, violence broke out over loud music being played outside a mosque during a Hindu procession. Ram Gopal Mishra, part of the passing group, died of a gunshot wound in the ensuing violence. Following his death, angry mobs torched several Muslim-owned shops, hospitals, and vehicles.

Officials bring celebratory drummer to raid on Muslim man’s home

In Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal, officials seized the house and land of a Muslim man over his alleged involvement in cattle slaughter. In a public display during the seizure, the administration brought in a celebratory drummer to play as the house was being seized.

In Bihar’s Lakhisarai, Hindu militants assaulted and looted truck drivers who were transporting buffaloes. They also stopped a truck carrying cattle and harassed the drivers, accusing them of smuggling cows.

Christians harassed, arrested over allegations of converting Hindus

In BJP-ruled Uttarakhand’s Devprayag, two Hindu extremists harassed a Christian store owner for organizing prayer meetings, and accused him of forcibly converting Hindus to Christianity. The men even attempted to break into the store and force him to chant “Jai Sri Ram.”

In BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki, police raided a house and arrested four people over allegations that they were luring Hindus into converting to Christianity.
