Muslim men beaten to death by cow vigilantes in Chhattisgarh
In Chhattisgarh’s Raipur, two Muslim men were beaten to death by Hindu extremist cow vigilantes for transporting buffaloes in a truck. The victims, identified as Chand Miya and Guddu Khan, were found dead in a local river. A third victim, Saddam Khan, is critically injured and receiving treatment in a hospital.

70-year-old Muslim man beaten to death over land dispute
A 70-year-old Muslim cleric, Maulana Mohammad Farooque, was allegedly beaten to death by a Hindu man, Chandramani Tiwari, over a land dispute in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh. The accused is still at large.
Initial investigations suggest that Farooque had purchased a piece of land from Chandramani Tiwari around seven years ago but had not taken possession of it. Recently, Chandramani borrowed more money from Farooque, which might have escalated the dispute.
Hindu extremist leader threatens to cut Muslims “from top to bottom”
In Purnia, Bihar, Hindu extremist group Antarrashtriya Hindu Parishad (AHP) leader delivered a dangerous speech against Muslims. “Would any Muslim dare to run away with our daughters? They are already circumcised, but we will cut them from top to bottom,” he said. In Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, the AHP organized a weapon training camp for its members.
In Ajmer, Rajasthan, Hindu militant group Vishwa Hindu Parishad who have been organizing weapon training for its members including women and minors over the past week, organized a rally where its leaders peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad.”
Muslim victim of police brutality succumbs to injuries
A Muslim egg seller, Mohammad Faizan Sheikh, who was left paralyzed after he was brutally attacked by police in far-right BJP-ruled Gujarat has now succumbed to his injuries and died. The police had assaulted him allegedly because he kept his store open past nine o’clock at night.
Police brutality in India is on the rise, with the ever-increasing cases of brutal force and abuse of power. It especially affects marginalised groups like Muslims and Dalits causing fear and deepening social divide.
