Muslim passerbys beaten up during Hindu extremists’ protest over injured cow

In Rajasthan’s Bhilwara, a Hindu extremist mob brutally assaulted two Muslims as they passed by an area where Hindus were protesting after a severed tail of a cow was found near a temple.

“The police were present there but they did nothing,” said one victim, who was left injured on his face and hand.

Mobs of Hindu extremists also pelted stones on Muslim houses and vandalized Muslim-owned shops.

In far-right BJP-ruled Assam’s Sivasagar, Assamese ethno-nationalist groups launched a campaign targeting Bengali-speaking Muslims. The groups went door to door with threats, demanding that the Muslim families vacate their homes within a week.

Ban on Rajasthan government employees associating with Hindu paramilitary group RSS lifted

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Rajasthan has lifted a decades-old ban on government employees taking part in activities of the violent Hindu paramilitary group, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Last month, the federal government removed the ban on government employees being members of the RSS.

The RSS was initially declared an unlawful organization in 1948 following the assassination of Indian independence leader Mahatma Gandhi by Nathuram Godse, an RSS member. The ban was lifted later that year, but a fresh ban was imposed on government employees participating in RSS activities, citing concerns over the organization’s violent and supremacist nature.

In Sabarkantha, Gujarat, Hindu extremist leaders called for an economic boycott against minorities.

“Boycott the non-Hindus in every way possible, trading with them or even renting to them,” one of the leaders said.

In Guna, Madhya Pradesh, Hindu supremacist leader Kajal Shingala also called for economic boycott of Muslims while promoting conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad.”

In Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, BJP lawmaker T. Raja Singh delivered an anti-Christian hate speech and advocated for anti-minority violence. At another event in Sidhi, a Hindu militant leader delivered a hate speech demonizing Christians and Muslims. He also glorified the demolition of the Babri Masjid by Hindu extremist mobs in 1992.

Hindu supremacist leader targets Rohingya, Bangladeshi Muslims in hate speech

In Amravati, Maharashtra, a Hindu supremacist leader delivered an anti-Muslim hate speech, promoting false conspiracy theories targeting Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims.

“[Hundreds of thousands] of Rohingya live here in India. [Tens of millions] of Bangladeshis live here in India… So our first demand is that these Rohingya Muslims and Bangladeshi Muslims, these traitors, be kicked out of India,” he declared, before leading the crowd in an oath against love jihad and religious conversions.
