Officials demolish 600-year-old mosque in Delhi without warning

Civic officials demolished a 600-year-old mosque in the capital city of Delhi without any prior notice. The mosque, Masjid Akhonji, included an Islamic seminary, Madrasa Bahrul Uloom, and the graves of revered figures. The rubble of the structures was cleared before the pre-dawn prayers. 

Dalit minor beaten, forced to kneel, and urinated upon in Rajasthan

In Ajmer, Rajasthan, a 17-year-old Dalit boy was brutally assaulted, humiliated, and urinated upon by a group of men. The incident was captured on video and has gone viral on social media. The victim was forced to kneel down and utter derogatory words while being assaulted. One of the assailants urinated on him, with another recording the horrific act. 

Hindu extremists assault Muslim men, force them to say Jai Sri Ram

Hindu extremists assaulted two Muslim men in Mumbai, Maharashtra and forced them to chant “Jai Sri Ram”, a Hindu supremacist warcry. 

Since January 22, Hindu extremist mobs have increased violent attacks in Muslim neighborhoods in Mumbai, including by harassing Muslim residents and vandalizing properties, while celebrating the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya city. The temple was built on the site where the historic Babri Mosque was demolished by Hindu militants in 1992. 

Hindu rituals held in historic Gyanvapi mosque’s basement

Hindu rituals were conducted in the basement of the historic Gyanvapi mosque after a court allowed Hindus to pray in the sealed cellar, which Hindu extremists have been seeking to take control over and convert to a temple for years. 

Meanwhile, members of Hindu supremacist groups were seen pasting a label reading “temple” over the word “mosque” directions signage near the mosque.
