Officials seal house purchased by Muslim woman in Hindu-majority neighborhood
Civic officials in BJP-ruled Gujarat’s Surat sealed off a Muslim woman’s recently purchased home, which she had bought from a Hindu woman, for allegedly violating the provisions of the Disturbed Areas Act. The law regulates property transactions in communally sensitive areas.
The action followed objections from Hindu residents of the seller’s housing society, who reportedly ran a hate campaign against both the Muslim woman and the Hindu woman.
Hindu militants raid house, harass Muslim man over interfaith relationship
In BJP-ruled Gujarat’s Surat, Hindu militants from the Bajrang Dal raided a house and harassed a Muslim man who was allegedly having an affair with a married Hindu woman. The two had eloped to get married, but the woman’s husband sought the militants’ help to forcibly bring her back.

In BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, Hindu extremists harassed, evicted, and demanded the arrest of a Muslim vendor selling posters and idols of deities at a Hindu pilgrimage fair. The vendor claimed to be a local resident and had been in the business for years.
In a similar incident in Odisha’s Kendrapara, Hindu extremists harassed a vendor selling prints of Hindu gods, accusing him of placing them near non-vegetarian items and bones.
Hindu extremists raid food joint, seize imported canned beef and pork meat
In Chhattisgarh’s Raipur, Hindu extremist cow vigilantes raided a restaurant serving meat dishes, seizing imported canned beef curry and raw pork meat. They also demanded an investigation to identify the customers and take action against them.
