RSS Chief Admits Modi Government Is Run By Hindu Nationalists And Believes In Hindu Supremacist Ideology
On his overseas visits Prime Minister Narendra Modi insists that his government upholds India’s pluralist constitution and does not believe in discriminating against religious minorities. But his ideological boss has spoken out and exposed the truth to be otherwise.
Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of the 96-year-old Hindus supremacist organization, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has said India’s federal government is indeed in sync with the RSS’s Hindu nationalist ideologies and is run by its members.
“They (Modi government) have different executives, different policies, different working methods (but) thoughts and culture are of the Sangh and that is effective,” Bhagwat said on December 18. “The main people working there belong to the RSS and will remain so.”
He said that the works done by the “swayamsevaks” (RSS volunteers) prove that “they do not just run the Parliament, they take the people of the society with them, they are independent and autonomous.”
Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the political offshoot of the RSS, which was founded in 1925 with explicit supremacist principles that seek to deny equal rights to non-Hindus, especially Muslims and Christians. Its founders were greatly influenced by Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini and wrote gloriously of the Nazi and Fascist movements.
Incredibly, Bhagwat claimed — obviously, falsely — that the “DNA of all the people of India from 40,000 years ago is the same as that of the people of today. The ancestors of all of us are one, because of those ancestors our country flourished, our culture continued.”
This is in line with the RSS’s long-held Nazi-style ideological thinking that India’s Hindus are the “pure” race and that the followers of Islam and Christianity are “invaders” and “foreigners.”
Saying ‘We Are Hindus, You Are Muslim’ Hindu Men Beat Their Muslim Friend To Death In Haryana
Religious killing of Muslims by Hindu extremists has become an everyday affair in India. A mobile phone video has gone viral showing four Hindu men beat their Muslim friend to death chanting, “We are Hindus, you are Muslim” in Haryana state on December 14.
The victim, 22-year-old Rahul Khan of Palwal district, was beaten with sticks and died later at hospital. Two of the accused – Vishal and Akash – were arrested on December 18 after a video of the assault went viral. The Haryana Police are looking for the main accused, Kalua.
According to Khan’s relatives and the police, Kalua came to their village and informed them that Khan had been injured in an accident. Khan’s wife, 26-year-old Shaheena, said her husband had no clothes on him when one of their cousins, Yusuf, found him.
“He was bruised and injured all over,” she added. “It was a terrible sight. At the hospital he kept telling me that Kalua had beaten him up. He kept asking me to find out why his friend had beaten him up.”
The post-mortem examination found Khan had 18 wounds inflicted by sticks.
Predictably, the police are denying this was a killing based on religious identity.
Karnataka Government Punishes Official Who Debunked Claim Of Mass Conversions To Christianity
In a clear case of vendetta, a government official who led a survey that debunked claims of mass conversion to Christianity in the state of Karnataka has been transferred from his job within days of filing his report.
The official, Y. Thippeswamy, had filed a report on 1 December saying there were no instances of forced conversions in a town located in the state’s Chitradurga district as had been claimed by a state BJP legislator, Goolihatti Shekhar. The legislator had earlier claimed in a speech in the state legislature that Hindus were being forcefully converted to Christianity.
While the city officials have stood by his findings, the legislator has called the report “all lies.”
