BJP MP’s Claim about “Illegal Mosques on Govt. Land” Completely False, Says Delhi Minorities Commission
The Delhi Minorities Commission on Thursday, while releasing its fact-finding report, said the claims by some BJP Members of Parliament that “Mosques are mushrooming on government land in Delhi” are completely false.…
During the field visits, the fact-finding team found that Muslim Waqf properties have been mismanaged and encroached upon by non-government and government institutions, individuals and groups resulting in scarcity of space for places of worship and burial for Muslims.
While visiting various Masjids, the committee saw umpteen numbers of Mandirs cropping up on the pavements, inside the public parks, under a tree and even illegally occupying various roads. A very interesting phenomenon came to the fore was that of ‘broken idols’ (Khandit Murtiyan) becoming Mandirs.…
