Hindu extremist group organizes arms training camp in Karnataka

The Sri Ram Sene, a Hindu extremist group affiliated with the Hindu paramilitary group Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), organized a training camp for five days in Karnataka’s Bagalkot. Photos and videos show boys undergoing arms training.

The growing push for arming violent Hindu supremacists is a cause of concern for the minority Muslim community, who are being threatened with mass slaughter by Hindu extremist groups.

BJP mayor leads campaign to “reclaim” 125 temples in Muslim-majority areas

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Pramila Pandey, who serves as the mayor of Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, has taken charge of a campaign to “reclaim” temples allegedly encroached upon in Muslim-majority areas. A list of 125 temples under alleged “illegal possession” has been prepared, and efforts are underway to restore them.

The campaign has drawn objections from Muslim religious leaders, who fear it could disturb communal harmony.

Court accepts petition claiming Jama Masjid in Aligarh was once a temple

The ongoing attempts by Hindu supremacists to seize control over centuries-old mosques across Uttar Pradesh have now reached Aligarh, adding the historic Jama Masjid to the growing list of targets. The court has accepted a Hindu supremacist petition claiming that the mosque was originally a temple and that it was built on the site of a Hindu fort.

Emboldened by the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple, Hindu extremist leaders have begun calling for replacing historic mosques with temples. This dispute in Aligarh follows a growing trend of similar claims in other districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Sambhal, Baghpat, Badaun, Firozabad, and Bareilly, where mosques are being claimed to have been constructed on the remains of ancient temples.
