Hindu Extremist outfit Bajrang Dal assault opposition party politicians

Members of the Hindu extremist organization Bajrang Dal attacked Congress politicians and vandalized their offices in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh today. Enraged by Congress Karnataka’s stated intention to ban the Bajrang Dal, its members retaliated violently, attempting to tear down walls, pelting the office with stones, and chanting “Jai Shree Ram” inside. Bajrang Dal members are responsible for countless violent killings of Muslims throughout India, and numerous assaults  on Muslims and Muslim-owned property during recent Ram Navami processions.

Islamophobic Film “The Kerala Story” set to be released in spite of legal objections

An incendiary film portraying Muslims as terrorists is set to be released tomorrow, in spite of legal objections raised by leading Kerala politicians. “The Kerala Story”, written and directed by Sudipto Sen, had initially falsely claimed that 32,000 women were converted to Islam, radicalized, and then deployed in terror missions in India and the world. Politicians from the Communist Party of India have argued that the film is illegal on the grounds that it will inflame communal tensions in the state.

Muslim Journalist Receives Death Threats in Bengaluru

Prominent Muslim journalist and Alt News editor Mohammed Zubair has recently received death threats from online mobs, leading to a police complaint and a First Information Report (FIR) registration. After his attackers leaked his home address online, Zubair received a threatening package which contained raw pork. Zubair founded Alt News to fact-check Hindu extremist propaganda.
