The six recipients were U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, Minnesota Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy, State Senator Jim Abeler, State Senator Zainab Mohamed, and Assistant Commissioner Zarina Baber. The awards recognized their “lifelong dedication to justice, civil liberties, and equal opportunity” and their “unwavering stand against discrimination, prejudice, and hate.”
