Indian Muslim Council – USA (http://www.imc-usa.org), an advocacy group dedicated towards safeguarding India’s pluralist and tolerant ethos, condemns the serial bomb blasts in Gorakhpur with alarm at the increasing attacks on civilians throughout the nation.

“Law and order is the responsibility of the government, the efforts to curb this violence must go beyond placing the blame on one party or the other” stated Mr. Rahmat Baig, Vice President of IMC-USA. He continued: ” To win the confidence of all communities the investigations must be transparent and include all sources of terror, home-grown or international”.

IMC-USA welcomes the deployment of police in cities other than Gorakhpur in the State of UP.
