Mob of 100 Hindu extremists attack Muslims over Eid preparations
In Telangana’s Medak, several Muslims were injured after a violent mob of over a hundred Hindu extremists attacked Muslim residents over cattle brought for slaughtering on the Muslim holiday of Eid Al Adha.
The mob attacked a madrasa, resulting in serious injuries to at least eight people, including a 60-year-old man. Armed with sticks and other weapons, the mob went on to target Muslim-owned shops and establishments, including a hospital while raising the Hindu supremacist warcry “Jai Sri Ram.”
11 Muslim families’ houses demolished after police claim beef found inside
In Mandla, Madhya Pradesh, the homes of 11 Muslim families were demolished after police claimed they had found beef stored in their refrigerators – even though the meat samples found in the homes are still in the process of being tested. Officials then alleged that the homes were built on government land and that the accused men were involved in “illegal” cattle trade.

In Mira Road, Maharashtra, Hindu militants from the Bajrang Dal created a disturbance outside a housing complex where Muslim families brought home lambs for sacrifice on Eid. Similar incidents were also reported in other cities in Maharashtra.
Last year, a Muslim couple was called “terrorists” and attacked by a mob of Hindu extremists in Mumbai after they brought goats meant for sacrifice on Eid-al-Adha into their housing complex.

In Dhule, Maharashtra, Hindu extremist cow vigilantes vandalized a vehicle and assaulted its occupants over allegations of transporting cattle.
Last year, Hindu extremists committed over a dozen anti-Muslim hate crimes in the days leading up to the Muslim holiday Eid Al-Adha. The incidents include a mob lynching, a number of physical assaults, acts of intimidation, and breaking and entering into Muslim-owned homes to police for cow slaughter.
