Muslim teen beaten by Hindu classmate in Telangana

Mohammed Masum, a 19-year-old Muslim student was beaten by a group of miscreants including a Hindu classmate. Masu was slapped multiple times and his skull cap forcibly removed and trampled upon. 

Muslim minors and students have reported a number of violent and hateful incidents from their teachers and classmates. 

Modi spreads more anti-Muslim hate speech 

Hindu supremacist Prime Minister Narendra Modi had yet again given a speech filled with anti-Muslim propaganda, this time in Uttar Pradesh state.

Earlier this week, he called Muslims “infiltrators” – signifying that they do not belong in India – and claimed that they “have more children”, a false Hindu supremacist conspiracy that claims Muslim population growth is replacing Hindus. 

Cow vigilantes cause accident after high-speed chase targeting truck 

In far-right BJP-ruled Haryana’s Palwal, Hindu extremist cow vigilantes led by Sonu Hindu – an associate of accused murderer and militant leader Monu Manesar – dangerously chased a truck allegedly transporting cattle, resulting in an accident.

Hindu militant mobs have increasingly been targeting Muslims over baseless accusations of committing crimes. These mobs, also known as cow vigilantes, attack and often lynch Muslims accused of transporting cattle or consuming beef. 

Meat shops forcibly shut down ahead of Hindu religious festival

In far-right BJP-ruled Haryana’s Gurugram, Hindu militants from the Bajrang Dal forcibly closed Muslim-owned shops that were selling non-vegetarian food on the day of a Hindu religious festival. 

Earlier this month in the capital city of Delhi, BJP politician Ravinder Singh Negi visited several meat shops and demanded that they remain closed during another Hindu religious festival, Navratri.
