PETITION: Call on the City Council of Seattle to Demand an Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza!

A diverse coalition of civil society and human rights organizations endorse Councilmember Kshama Sawant’s resolution, viewing it as a crucial opportunity for the Seattle City Council to stand in solidarity with Palestinian Americans and the global anti-war movement.

The resolution advocates for a cease-fire in Gaza and an end to the ongoing mistreatment of Muslims in Gaza, as well as the occupation of Palestinian territories, which is seen as imperative for achieving lasting peace. Additionally, it opposes Islamophobia and anti-Semitism, while supporting the right of both Palestinians and Israelis to live in peace and safety. We strongly urge the Seattle City Council to vote in favor of the resolution without any weakening or dilution.
