Twitter Handles Followed By Modi Advocate Violence Against Muslims – By Adila Matra
In the wake of the Pulwama terror attack, Twitter erupted with hate messages targeted at Kashmiris and Muslims in India. Most of these tweets called for violence against Muslims and boycott of the community. Many prominent twitter handles participated in this hate-mongering. Some of these are followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Mahesh Vikram Hegde, co-founder of fake news website Postcard News, on 18 February Monday, tweeted that the final nail in the coffin of terrorism can come only when the Hindus make a surgical strike on the “business of M.”
Hegde implied that all Muslim businesses must be boycotted, as these businesses are used to fund terror activities according to him. The tweet has so far garnered 2.4k likes and 1.1k retweets. Hegde’s Twitter account announces how “blessed” he is to be followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.…
