Bantwal: Act of communal harmony – Hindu groom holds Iftar for Muslim friends
In an exemplary act of communal harmony a Hindu groom offered Iftar party for his Muslim friends in the Masjid.
Shailesh, a resident of Sambara Thota near Mudipu of the taluk is the person who has showed this noble gesture. He arranged an Iftar party on account of his marriage at the Nooraniya Juma Masjid at Samabar Thota. More than 100 Muslims took part in this party and ended their fast for the day.
Members of the Muslim community had taken part in the wedding ceremony of Shailesh, which was held a few days ago and offered their good wishes. However, due to the fasting of Ramzan month, they could not have the lunch. So Shailesh arranged an Iftar party in the Masjid and showed his love and regards towards his Muslim friends.
