Hindu Extremists Stab Christian Pastor To Death For Preaching Christianity

Five Hindu extremists brutally murdered Christian Pastor Yalam Sankar by breaking into his home at night, dragging him outside, and stabbing him to death in Chhattisgarh state. Sankar was a senior pastor of Bastar for Christ Movement (BMC) Church and was known for defending Christians from Hindu extremist attacks.

Hindu extremists had threatened Pastor Sankar in the past for preaching Christianity, and had also threatened to kill him.

“The Christians in this area have been facing intense opposition from the radical Hindu nationalists. Several times Pastor Shankar defended Christians from radical Hindu nationalists, and that could be the reason for this extreme form of persecution [through] killing,” a local Christian said.

Attacks on India’s Christians, who number 30 million in India’s 1.4 billion people, have doubled since 2014 due to anti-christian hysteria being spread across the nation by Hindu extremists aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political party, the BJP.

Karnataka Festival Organizers Ban Muslims Shopkeepers Under Pressure from Hindu Extremists.

Organizers of the Kote Marikamba Jatre festival, a non-religious festival held every two years in Karnataka state, have caved to the hateful demands of Hindu extremist groups and banned Muslim shopkeepers from setting up stalls during the festival. The pressure on the organizers came from not only Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which also rules the state, but also from the militant Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, which are extremists organizations aligned with the BJP.

The organizers admitted this was the first time they had used religion to determine who could attend the festival, demonstrating how deep-rooted hatred for Muslims has become in Karnataka.

Rally Led By BJP Leader In UP Calls For Massacre Of Muslims

In a viral video of a hateful rally in Uttar Pradesh state led by former BJP state lawmaker, Raghvendra Pratap Singh, hundreds of Hindu extremists can be heard chanting several genocidal anti-Muslim slogans while waving saffron flags and marching down the street.

One of the slogans used slurs to describe Muslims, saying, “When Muslims will be killed, they will shout Ram’s (Hindu deity) name.”

Singh has a track record of spewing vile anti-Muslim hate speech, having also served as a leader of the Hindu supremacist group Hindu Yuva Vahini, a criminal militant outfit founded by the state’s saffron-robed chief minister, Yogi Adityanath. During Uttar Pradesh’s heated election race last month, Singh was recorded saying that since he had become a lawmaker, the Muslims had stopped wearing skull caps. “If you vote for me again, they will start wearing tilaks (Hindu symbols).”

Singh has also threatened violence against Hindus who don’t vote for the BJP, saying, “Any Hindu who doesn’t vote for me… is a traitor. I am warning you this time…traitors of Hindu religion will be destroyed.”

BJP Leader Says No Re-Exams For Muslim Girls Who Boycotted School Over Hijab Ban

Karnataka state Education Minister B.C. Nagesh, who has made hateful and derogatory comments about Muslim girls who protested the state’s Islamophobic ban on hijab in schools, has now stated that there will be no chance of making up any exams missed by Muslim girls who boycotted school in order to demand their constitutional rights.

“We will not create a precedent by holding re-exams for absentees. They can appear for supplementary exams like everyone else. We are not going to make an exception,” he said.

Meanwhile, Muslim girls have continued to boycott their exams in order to show that their fight against the hijab ban is not over as petitioners move to the Supreme Court.
