IAMC condemns dastardly terror attack in Kashmir
The Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC – www.iamc.com), today condemned in the strongest terms the dastardly act of terror in Kashmir that has claimed the lives of 40 personnel from India’s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The brave CRPF personnel who laid down their lives reflected the diversity of India united in their ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
IAMC calls for a thorough investigation and bringing the perpetrators to justice. IAMC also demands that swift action be taken against the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed that has claimed responsibility for the attack.
IAMC recognizes that cross-border terrorism perpetrated by militant outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed have only made matters worse in Kashmir. We condemn terrorism in all its forms, and call for a resolution to the Kashmir issue through a process of dialogue that reflects compassion, respect and a commitment by all parties to uphold human rights and religious freedom.
