The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted raids at the offices of two NGOs in Delhi and four others in Kashmir valley, on allegations of them funding “terror and separatist activities” in Jammu and Kashmir.… Among the NGOs targeted in Delhi are Charity Alliance and Human Welfare Foundation (HWF). Those raided in Kashmir are Falah-e-Aam Trust, Srinagar, JK Yateem Foundation, Kupwara, Salvation Movement and JK Voice of Victims. NIA in Delhi detained three office-bearers of HWF and one from the Charity Alliance.… NIA is also reported to have seized mobiles phones of at least 30 employees of HWF, besides the office computers of HWF’s chief executive officer as also the accountant. The sleuths are also reported to have seized all papers and documents with regard to development projects of HWF all over the country. One of the office-bearers of the HWF is above 70-year-old.…Read more
Sri Kulkarni: Indian Americans Protest Against Growing RSS Role in US Politics
An inter-faith coalition of civil rights activists and allies organised on Sunday a successful protest against the growing foreign intervention in US elections and expressed concern over the close ties of Sri Preston Kulkarni, a Democratic Indian American candidate running for District TX-22, with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), according to a press statement. “Hindutva in no way should be confused with Hinduism or Indian. We will control our own elections. We will control our own vote. We will not let RSS to buy our candidates,” said Jada Barnard, an African American activist and video journalist. He said that RSS has been involved in more than 400 pogroms in India. He also condemned the persecution of the Amnesty India staff by the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.…Read more

The world has not bothered to take any notice of a new terrorist network developing fast in India and its neighbourhood between RSS and the two ultra nationalist Buddhist groups of Myanmar and Sri Lanka against minorities (Muslims and Christian) in the region.… Last week, Mr. Gnanasara claimed he was in discussions ‘at a high level’ with the right-wing Indian Hindu group Rashtriya Swayam Sevak to form what he called a ‘Hindu-Buddhist peace zone’ in South Asia.… A prominent Hindutva organisation, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), allied to the RSS, has been regularly holding national conventions for ‘Establishment of a Hindu Nation’ in India.…Read more
