Union Minister booked for hate speech, claimed bomb blast in Kerala related to pro-Palestine protests

Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar, a prominent member of the rightwing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was booked for hate speech after spreading the false claim that Muslims protesting Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians were responsible for a recent bomb blast targeting Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kerala. The blast was orchestrated by a former Jehovah’s Witness.

“Sitting in Delhi and protesting against Israel when in Kerala open calls by Terrorist Hamas for Jihad is causing attacks and bomb blasts on innocent Christians,” Chandrasekhar posted on X, insinuating that Muslims were responsible for the attack.
