Three Muslim men injured after accident while being chased by cow vigilantes

In Malegaon, Maharashtra, a group of violent cow vigilantes chased a van driven by three Muslim men over allegations of transporting beef, resulting in the van falling into a ditch, resulting in minor injuries to its occupants. 

Hindu militant mobs have increasingly been targeting Muslims over baseless accusations of committing crimes. These mobs, also known as cow vigilantes, attack and often lynch Muslims accused of transporting cattle or consuming beef. 

Hindu militant group VHP expands presence into Jammu and Kashmir 

The Hindu militant group Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has announced its plans to form committees for Hindus residing in the Muslim-majority region of Jammu and Kashmir. 

The group has also sent an invitation to Hindus in the region, encouraging them to participate in the consecration ceremony of the newly built Ram temple in Ayodhya, which was constructed on the former site of the historic Babri Mosque before its violent demolition by Hindu militants in 1992.

Officials raid mall in Uttar Pradesh amid crackdown on Halal-certified products

Amid the far-right Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Uttar Pradesh government’s arbitrary statewide ban on halal-certified products, a team of Food Safety and Drug Administration officials conducted an inspection of food items across malls and stores in Lucknow and Noida, seizing 116 packets of Halal-certified lentils.

The ban serves as a way to further demonize and marginalize the Muslim community. 

Hindu extremists continue to demolish Muslim shrines in Uttarakhand

In far-right BJP-ruled Uttarakhand, Hindu extremist men and women demolished a Muslim shrine and built a makeshift temple over it. This is the latest in a series of shrine demolitions across Uttarakhand in which Hindu extremists film themselves destroying shrines, often while chanting Hindu extremist war cries. 

In the past, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has proudly proclaimed that his government had demolished hundreds of Muslim shrines.

Far-right Hindu leaders demonize Muslims, instigate Hindus to take up arms

Hindu extremist leaders throughout India continue to demonize Muslims through hate speech. In Jamui, Bihar, Hindu extremist leader Khushbu Pandey urged Hindus to take up arms against Muslims. In Faridabad, Haryana, Hindu extremist icon Bittu Bajrangi, a key accused in anti-Muslim violence in Nuh district, also gave a hateful speech targeting Muslims. In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Hindu militant group Bajrang Dal leader Neeraj Denoria peddled conspiracy theories around halal products in order to further demonize Muslims.
