In that piece, the Art of Living guru, now named by the Supreme Court as one of three mediators on the Ram Jannabhoomi-Babri land dispute case, offered a clear view into his personal equation with the Prime Minister and specifically mentioned an exchange with Modi in 2004 regarding the Gujarat riots.…

Ravi Shankar’s opinion on the Ayodhya land dispute case is seen as divisive by some sections. In March 2018, in an interview to India Today TV, he said: “If the Ram Mandir issue is not solved, we will have a Syria in India.”…
